Quick but still a satisfying read. I love the mystery surrounding Colin's curse. If you've read MD's work before don't miss this story.
This was a fun and entertaining prequel that helped give us more light on Colin and Luther's friendship. I definitely recommend it to any fan of the series.
If I were giving someone a JY reading list, I'd put this second after Druid Blood. Then you'd have a smoother transition from young Colin to the older grittier one.
Colin isn't what you expect in a Druid. He's cursed and he has a bad attitude. Just don't make him reach into his bag, and don't kill him. For you ladies, he has a girlfriend.
Bought more from this author after reading the first book.
This series is growing on me book by book. The use of Celtic lore and myth combined with z flippant, yet not snarky, young protagonist feels natural, as does his growth. Give it a shot!
Great dialogue and great plot make this one a winner. This series looks to be on the "better than waiting on Dresden," list. Believe me, it's a fun read.
