This book started out on a very good premise. It had a forced marriage between a very young girl and an older bitter man. It had spousal abuse and a child with autism. Your interest is drawn immediately especially when you find out about the husband's brother coming into the mix, who himself is almost worse than his brother. The young girl who is now a woman, ends up marrying again for convenience, but to a much nicer man. The conflict is set up between the new husband and the ex-husband's brother, but it never goes anywhere. You have the brother doing a few things to frighten the newlywed couple, then all of a sudden he changes to a better person through one incident. It's as if a part of the story is missing. If the one incident changed the brother, then there still should have been a confrontation that showed his change of heart to the couple. Like I said, this is an ok story, but it had the bones to be a great story.

I loved this book and series! All three books were page turners and you are left with wanting more!!

Kelly knows how to make words come alive. You feel like you are right there with the characters experiencing what they have happening in their lives.
I love her books! I love the way she writes Christian values and scripture into her stories. Everyone of her books is filled with Godly value and wisdom along with romance. Whenever I read her books, I don't want to put them down until I'm finished. Can't wait for her next book!

I liked the fact that she made the characters so real. I especially liked Abel. I think this series would make a great movie
This is a wonderful story about a woman with an abused past learning love again. The special features of love of a boy with autism. And a family learning to grow together as they learn to trust each other in love and grace.
Threads of Grace ((A Patch of Heaven Novel) by Kelly Long was one of the best Amish novels that I have read. It is a tender love story not only between a man and a woman but between a man and a special-needs young boy. It has a touch of suspense and the author does a great job of interweaving it with the plot. It is a story of grace.
I loved this book! It made you cry, made you happy and made you want to do something to get back at the woman's brother-in-law. This woman had an eight year old son who was autistic. It made me think of my 8 year old grandson. They did similar things. Everything worked out for the couple in the end. It was a very good book.

This is the story of Grace Raber, her son Abel (has autism) and Seth Wyse.
Grace is running from her past. Determined to make a life for herself
and her son. There seems to be an instant attraction between Grace and Seth
that they denie for the longest time.
Grace has a God given talent to create exquisite quilts that are like works
of art. Seth also has a hidden talent.
Someone from Grace's past comes there to try and force her to go back with them.
Will Grace and Abel go back or with they stay and start their lives anew?
I so loved this book. I hope to see another book or two in this series.
Would love to see the story of Violet (Grace's sister) and Luke King.
Maybe even Grace's brothers also.
